This sketch concept was for for a new winery facility to form part of the existing estate of Villa Saletta in Tuscany, Italy. The site was an unused Villa, (Villa san Michele) and its surrounding outbuildings, close to existing vineyards on a small rise in the landscape with direct access from a main road leading towards the main estate.
By cutting the production facilities into the hillside and creating a formal garden landscape and terrace over the top the bucolic panoramic views of the Tuscan hills are maintained.
