Stone Park Avenue

Beckenham, London

This project achieved planning permission for an extensive renovation and remodelling of a 1930’s style detached dwelling house in South London. The design provided for the following:

• A ground floor single story extension to the rear to create an open plan living/ dining/ kitchen area.
• A first floor extension to the rear. New windows to the remodelled rear first floor bedrooms. New en-suites to each bedroom on the first floor.
• Existing roof at the rear of the property extended and a new single dormer added to allow for a loft conversion consisting of two bedrooms, a shared bathroom and attic storage.
• Rooflights positioned into the front and either side of the pitched roof to provide daylight to new stairwell, shared bathroom and bedrooms.

We had previously engaged a local designer to come up with the plans to extend our property but we really weren't happy with the results.

Designcubed took things back to basics and produced a design which not only met all of our brief, but it was inspiring and relatively simple to build too.
