Container Cafe

Priory Farm, Nutfield, Surrey

Priory Farm asked us to transform a 20ft shipping container into a seasonal café for their Discovery Walk through beautiful Surrey countryside.

We used natural colours and materials to compliment the landscape, with a steel and timber pergola to soften the form and provide integrated shading for outside tables. Three large windows each rise open for service, and can be individually closed when less busy. Low windows provide retail display and a collection bar is provided at one end. At night the original container doors swing back to seal the bar and the windows shut.
